Welcome to the OpticalLock Blog!

I want to welcome you to the OpticalLock Blog. We are a new company manufacturing and marketing patented, technology-based systems for securing high value goods in the supply chain. This includes shipments of such high value goods in transit in shipping containers, in supply closets, ballot boxes and more.

Traditional padlock aimed at high value goods

Our first product is a lock designed in a traditional padlock form factor for wide application use – but is decidedly NOT your grandfather’s padlock. Our “SmartLock” contains a patented fiber optic technology for detecting any attempts at tampering with the lock. The product also provides real-time wireless alerting of such events and GPS tracking so you’ll always know the location of your lock and the corresponding high value goods being secured.

OpticalLock’s product line is perfect for high value goods being shipped or held in storage, but is also and excellent option for applications such as offsite telecom equipment and other remote facilities where access must be controlled – but personnel visits are difficult or infrequent. The product provides a “total security” solution due to the anti-tampering, alerting and tracking features as well as the reporting, analytics and audit trail capabilities provided by our bundled LockTracker mobile and cloud-based software applications. Security for DOD and high security shipments

OpticalLock products are also ideal for DOD and other government  and high security applications. Target applications include classified documents, electronic components, prescription medications, military spare parts and ballot boxes. However, our products are well-suited for any high value goods shipment or storage application where it is important not only to secure the goods but track their location, instantly alert on any tampering and record an audit trail of the lock’s location and lack of tampering.
