Mission: To become the leader in security solutions that ensures authenticity of shipment container & storage room contents in the supply chain for commercial and government consumers.

Founded in San Diego, CA in 2013, OpticalLock® addresses an unfulfilled need in the physical security marketplace. Estimates of worldwide loss to companies and governments falls between $600 Billion in 2011 to $1.7 Trillion US dollars in 2014.

While the counterfeit problem was the center for our initial product development, our focus  has expanded to a wider variety of containers and high-value goods where it is important to ensure no tampering has occurred while unattended or in transit. This includes any room, facility or container a traditional lock can secure, and where security is of critical importance.  These may include election ballot boxes, sensitive/classified documents and remote facilities of any type.

The patented OpticalShield™ tamper-detection system uses fiber optic technology, making it very flexible and applicable to a wide variety of applications. The OpticalLock has onboard location tracking as well as anti-tampering alarms and wireless alerting features which are triggered by any attempts to compromise the integrity of the lock in any way. These features provide an additional layer of security and any potential tampering is instantly communicated via secure wireless connections.

The OpticalShield™ technology is also available for licensing for applications outside of our market focus.

Authenticity, legitimacy, and innovation are three of the qualities that the OpticalLock brand values.  As a result, OpticalLock puts great value in its Intellectual property rights and will pursue those infringing its intellectual property rights, including but not limited to the following patent and trademark registrations.
